Is your tablet just too small? Consider a multitouch coffee table.

Ideum, a company known for building massive touchscreen tables (yep, tables) and wall panels, as well as the apps that run them, just announced that 4K versions of its 55-, 65-, and 100-inch screens will be shipping out later this month.

Models that benefit from the resolution upgrade include the 55- and 65-inch versions of the Platform, Pro, and Drafting touch tables, the 55- and 65-inch Presenter touch walls, and the gigantic, widescreen 100-inch Pano table.

The Platform model is equipped with an integrated quad-core Core i7 PC, built-in RFID, and works with up to 40 touch points. Its aircraft-grade aluminum construction also makes the table nearly indestructible. While the new 4K resolution upgrade is certainly a welcome addition, the standard HD version is still available for those who want it.

Never heard of Ideum? If you've ever seen an interactive touch display at a museum or showroom, there's a chance that Ideum built it. However, the company's product lineup also includes touchscreen coffee tables, which are better suited for the home user.

Also recently announced, Ideum and GestureWorks—Ideum's gesture-driven app development product—will be at CES 2014 in Las Vegas to show off some of their latest tech.

Four of the company's multitouch tables will be on the show floor, including the 32-inch and 46-inch coffee tables, the 46-inch Platform table, and the latest model, a 46-inch Drafting table. GestureWorks will also be demoing its software, which includes PC games that have been touch-enabled to play on the Ideum tables.
